All Ireland Conference

Sunday. We’re standing in the hallway, shaking hands, and half the ward told me what country I was in… I also gave a talk about choosing the right. So I related it to service and pretty much just gave my farewell talk. In Sunday School some drunk guy came in and gave the sister missionaries a bouquet of flowers, each, then said he couldn’t stay because he had work. Pretty nifty dude. Then we spent the rest of the day GQ’ing Went to sleep at like 9:30 PM. It was nice. 12,607 steps

I broke my nail during sport today so the next few days may be short because writing hurts. Today was P-Day! But we had a flat check at 1 PM so we had to wait until then before we could really do anything. So we just cleaned and napped. We bought groceries, but with our bikes, that only takes like 30 minutes… We passed the flat check so we headed to the church building for sport. Played football on the carpet, got the football stuck on the roof and the zone leader, Elder G, almost broke his back trying to get it. Then we did emails and floor hockey. Fun day is 15,477 steps

We did a lot of GQ'ing today. We met 2 Americans. Elder Greenhalgh was about to do a whole Chinese GQ on this Asian girl but he only did a half. She spoke good english but he continued in Chinese asking "where are you from?" (in a super Chinese accent,) turns out she's from North Carolina! We still got a good GQ from it, so all is good. 24013 steps

Pretty fun day, I got my first 'on the spot lesson'... On accident. We were all GQ'ing (H, B, and Greenhalgh) and there was a girl sitting on the bench then Elder H told me to go and say I was inspired to talk to her. So I did. I went over, said “I feel inspired to talk to you,” and asked “may I sit down next to you?”  Then I talked to her about my all time  favorite verse from the BoM, Alma 37:6-7 (6 Now ye may suppose that this is a foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.
7 And the Lord God doth work by ameans to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth cconfound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.) Then I gave a lesson quickly and set up a QA for Friday at half __?___. Hopefully she shows up. Then we had a slumber party! We're all going to Dublin tomorrow so we stayed at their flat because they live close to the station. We played card games,  blind basketball (where we all took off our glasses and would dunk on the little hoop hanging on the door,) then went to bed. Ended up sleeping on the floor. We talked a bit more then went sleepy time.

I forgot to write down then we had to wake up at 3:30 in the morning to catch a bus to Dublin. I can’t sleep on buses so I was dead tired for the "All Ireland Conference." I almost fell asleep... a lot. All the missionaries who were leaving gave a farewell testimony, then all the greenies gave an  incoming testimony. I shared my “you’re an idiot“ story, got some good laughs then did testimony. We had a zone meeting and I shared the idea that "we should get a question to study, from someone that we GQ’d, so they can have an extra reason to come to a QA." Good day. I strongly dislike traveling already. Fun times.  “I miss you all!” “I love you mom!” “Jag älskar dig Bretagne [Brittany]”

We did lots of GQ today and talked to some interesting people. There was a promotion lady handing out free eye tests and she was pretty chill! We’re talking to her for like an hour then some guy comes up and we thought this girl knew him, and she thought we, knew him so it was a little weird. He whispered to me that when he was in the army he killed 84 people then  lit up a cig and blew smoke in my face. Interesting dude… Later we met up with Nicole, she’s the girl I said I was inspired to talk to you… And guess who’s on date for baptism!!? She’s actually super cool and is a total kingdom builder! She said she didn’t know what she felt during the lesson but said she was super interested to find out more so we’re meeting up tomorrow.

by the way my watch band broke so I don’t know steps ....

So there’s a lot of Street performers here in theCity Center of Belfast, some have some good talent like “the opera guy” or “the random color pants singer” or “the green hair girl” who’s really good at singing. But today I found my all-time favorite performer! “The homeless harmonica.” Some guy who doesn’t know how to play the harmonica and doesn’t know how to dance, decides to do both and tries to get paid.  I LOVE IT so much! It’s hilarious. He made my day.

Nicole met up again and we taught her the plan salvation and she’s super interested! GQ kingdom builder.

Found this in a file from the MTC... Temple day!
